    CUPRA Born over-the-air update

    An over-the-air update is being released in waves to CUPRA Born vehicles (between now and the end of the year), and is expected to take around 10 minutes.


    This update includes functionality to detect if any battery cells are discharging by themselves. This does not mean that your battery has this issue, it is designed as a preventative measure.


    The wording you will see on your infotainment system is below:


    "This update includes a function capable of detecting if any battery cell is discharging by itself. This is a preventative measure that does not imply a current problem in your battery. If this problem is detected during the vehicle's lifecycle, a yellow warning sign would appear on the digital cockpit indicating an error in the electrical driving system.


    The vehicle will continue working, but you should go to a workshop as soon as possible to avoid any battery wear. If this update is not installed, the battery operation and the warranty coverage could be affected.


    Remember that this installation is a pre-requisite for receiving future Over-The-Air Updates.


    If your car is equipped with anti-theft alarm, it will be deactivated during installation.


    Once the installation is complete, it will work normally again. This update does not increase the software version."



    Spannend wird zu sehen sein, ob es das Update auch in Deutschland geben wird...

    Interessant auch dass die Seite um ein FAQ erweitert wurde, da stehen auch Details drin was im Software Update 3.2.1 alles geändert wurde:

    Hä, dachte das ist in 3.2.1 schon mit drin? Beim ID.3 im Forum hatte ich das schon gefunden. Das blickt doch keiner mehr durch. ?(

    Mein Born sagt ja seit 3.2.1 "Fehler im Elektrosystem" und jetzt stand er 2 Wochen ungefahren rum und hat sich 4% entladen. Morgen ist endlich der Werkstatt-Termin nach einem Monat warten.

    Steht eigentlich ziemlich gut beschrieben dabei dass die Überwachung der einzelnen Module erst mit diesem Update möglich ist, finde ich jetzt also nicht so kompliziert.

    Voraussetzung dafür ist aber das Update 3.2.1 sowie die dazugehörige Prüfung der Batterie.

    Warum das nicht in einem gemacht wurde steht so nicht dabei, wird aber sicher Gründe geben...


    Was ich nicht verstehe ist dass es die Infos nur auf der UK Webseite gibt und in allen anderen Ländern nicht :/


    Bin gespannt was bei dem "Fehler im Elektrosystem" rauskommt...

    Ich reihe mich hier auch mal ein. Wobei bei mir steht: "Elektrosystem funktioniert nicht richtig. Bitte Werkstatt aufsuchen."
    Ich habe den Fehler eine Woche NACH dem 3.2.1 Update bekommen. Erst war alles OK, dann stand er eine Woche und beim losfahren kam der Fehler. Bin dann mit 80% los gefahren und hatte - typisch bei meinem nach einer Woche rumstehen - auf dem 1. km nur noch 78%. Nach 10km kam ich dann mit 75% an. Bei der 77kWh Batterie wohlgemerkt.

    Aber ja, vielleicht bekommen wir das nur einfach später als der ID.3 und meine Selbstentladung ist nochmal was anderes... Dürfen die im Autohaus rausfinden.

    Hmmm, nö, bei mir bleibt trotz Batterieschutz der SoC,

    auch bei mehreren Wochen Standzeit konstant.


    Einzig wenn ich per Handy über CarScanner mal im Stand aufzeichne,

    wie die Temperaturen sich ändern, dann schrumpft der Ladestand,

    weil immer mal wieder die 12V Batterie nachgeladen wird,

    OBD-Dongle und Handy brauchen halt auch Strom.
