For me, codes have always been retained during OTA updates. Maybe you'll get lucky.

Well, finally, my update notice popped up while driving, and I clicked ok and forgot about it, so I made a quick stop to pick up milk when I came out, the car was updating. Got stuck in the parking lot for almost 3 hours.
I only have myself to blame, but I thought there was a way to cancel the update. I did not find any way to stop it

I've given up hope of getting an update for the 2-year-old Born anyway. I'm sticking to it, the software is a disaster. Nothing works 100% correctly or well. The experiences I've had with the Born tell me that I'll never buy a car from the VW Group again. As a customer, you're the dumb one and you're just put off or screwed over. Sorry that I have to write so drastically, but that's how I feel.

That won't happen either, although it is technically possible. VW has made it its mission to bring out new generations that have these functions.
But there is a good video about this from Speicher elektrisiert.
There is a hack if you use OBDEleven where you can preheat the battery

are you trolling? read the obd instructions more carefully... you open the hood during the programming of the feature, not while running the car...
So, you are telling me that I should stand by the charger for 30 minutes before I can hook up the charger? I wonder how is the real troll here

In the latest version OBDEleven has manual preheating but for it to work you have to have the hood open, so my question is can you drive with the hood open?
I will try it next time I need to go to a fast charger, but until then?
